The Concordia Rural Research Group is a network of Concordia University faculty and students with an interest in rural-related issues. This includes research directly focused on rural places as well as research of rural relevance. In Canada this means research related to community, natural resources, environment, economic development, communication, culture, governance, service delivery, and a wide range of other issues.

Our objectives are:

  • to provide a forum at Concordia for the discussion of rural-related issues,
  • to encourage research and learning on rural-related issues, and
  • to seek opportunities for collaboration to advance our understanding of rural-related issues.

The Roundtable on Community Development and Sustainability was held on October 7, 2008. Materials from that rountable will be posted soon. Keep an eye out for details.
